Major road in the Daventry district closed after 'serious collision'

The A361 has been closed in both directions near Badby for several hours due to a single vehicle collision.

Emergency services were called to the road before noon after reports of a car had apparently left the road close to the Pinfold Green junction into Badby.

Northamptonshire Police said one person in the vehicle had been taken to hospital.

The air ambulance, fire service and police have all been in attendance at the scene.

Motorists are being warned to find alternative routes. There is no indication yet as to when the road will reopen.
